SALAM EVERYONE!!!
The girls youth group will be going ice skating inshallah December 31, 2010.
It will be starting at 2 o'clock after jumua prayer at Clinton square ice skating rink.
Everyone that is attending will need to bring $3.00 for skate rentals and admission 
Pizza and drinks will be provided!  We will all be meeting at the women's upstairs musalah. HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE!!!!

Fasting

Salam!
Many of you probably know that it is sunnah to fast the ninth and
tenth days of the Islamic month Muharram. These days are Wednesday and
Thursday of this week. I highly encourage that we all fast at least
one of these days because this action yields great benefits. Fasting
on the day of 'Ashura completely wipes away all minor sins committed
from the past year. Fasting Tasu'a is also very beneficial and gives
great hasanaat. MAY ALLAH FORGIVE US ALL !

Don't forget we have an Islamic Studies test this Sunday!!
DON'T FORGET!!! It's our 1st test with Brother Ibrahim; let’s show him that we are actually pretty smart!!!!  

 

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BAKE?

We will be having our 1^st bake sale Insh’Allah! It will be held on December 19, 2010. So far we are only having sweets. It can be anything from regular cookies and brownies to exotic and new foods from any country. Everyone will need to participate even if it’s only the plates or napkins.  Please contact me before December 12, 2010 telling me what you will be bringing.  Hopefully insh’Allah this goes well. This is not limited to only the girls youth group or only the guys. IT IS FOR EVERYONE!! My contact information is asmaeaitnajim@gmail.com and/or (315)863-7553. It is very important that you contact me before hand so we don’t have everyone bringing in the same thing. If money is an issue, make sure to tell me because we will be able to provide it. Our 1st post

Salam Everyone!!!

I would like to start by saying that i think the group meeting we had on Sunday was by far the most productive we have ever gotten!! GREAT JOB!! and Insh'allah i hope we will do even better next time. All events and ideas will be posted and i hope that you write what's on your mind also. Insh'allah may this be one of the steps to a successful youth group program. Feel free to comment and ask any questions.
